The Brunswick Power Groove Reactive Bowling Ball’s smooth, sleek design increases traction with its coverstock technology. Rather than make use of plastic, the Reactive coverstock’s technology increases hook potential just by being sanded or shined. PowrKoil 17 was first used on the company’s Sapphire Zone Bowling Ball and has been recently adopted by the Power Groove Reactive in an attempt to create more skidding and snapping at the back part of the lane. With a hook potential of 70, bowlers from around the world can appreciate the ball’s efficiency as it soars down the lane. A variety of color combinations including Pink/Blue Pearl, Black/Purple Solid, Blue Pearl/Ivory, Purple/Silver and Pearl, and Blue/Red Pearl provides personality and pizzazz to any game. The Power Groove Reactive also offers different weights starting with 12 and ending with 16 pounds ensuring that every bowler will perform according to their preferences. Review of the Brunswick Power Groove Reactive Bowling Ball
No one will dispute the sheer velocity in which the Brunswick Power Groove Reactive travels down a dry lane. Its Reactive coverstock design made it easy for me to sand and drill for a medium lane condition. I was amazed at the potential hook on this ball! Not only does it roll at phenomenal speeds, it also obliterates anything in its path. The ball is a virtual powerhouse!
I bought the 15 pound Purple/Silver and Pearl combo as a way of trying out a lighter ball. I had grown accustomed to using a heavier ball and was a bit leery when I first picked up my new Power Groove Reactive. My fears were eliminated after a few times using it. Skidding down the lane, it snapped even more than I expected to.
The ball carries well, is attractive, and affordably priced. Its performance is consistent but it does not perform well when heavily oiled which I learned after some time. Lightly oiled or completely dry seemed to work best for me as I tend to average a shot of 204. With the Power Groove Reactive, I am shooting 220 to 230 which is a great improvement.
For the price, the ball is a keeper. I have noticed a considerable difference in the way that I bowl. Great for league bowling, I have convinced my teammates to give the Power Groove Reactive a try. A few have bought one and have reported to me that they were also pleased with the results. Like the other Brunswick balls I have in my collection, this one is built to last.

I bought this ball because i needed an entry level not too expensive bowling ball One that was geared toward my skill level. Something that would really help my game. I am really glad i bought the Power Groove. It is easy to use to learn how to do hooks. Using this ball i was really able to figure out how to hook a ball without having a really fancy ball that I could not control
