The Ebonite Pin Slasher is a killer (no pun intended)! Built to withstand years of wear, this champion bowling ball has a hook potential of 40 and a length of 19. It is Navy/Teal in color and has GBV 12.7 coverstock which is designed to help it glide down the lane. Containing a VII core, the Pin Slasher is smooth and high performing. Available in weights ranging from 12 to 16 pounds, players can choose the ball that best fits their needs and helps them to bowl the best game of their lives. With a 4000 Grit Abralon Pad Finish, the Pin Slasher can easily be sanded down and polished to a player’s liking. Best suited for Sports Conditions as well as PBA Experience Leagues, the ball performs best with medium to heavily oiled lanes. Hooking way too much on a dry lane, bowlers can alleviate this issue by oiling the ball as well. Review of the Ebonite Pin Slasher Bowling Ball
The Ebonite Pin Slasher lives up to its name by slaughtering its competition. Durable and containing a VII core, the ball doesn’t only look great, it performs well too. I am a right handed bowler and found that drilling the ball played a part in my success. I usually bowl at 15 to 20 MPH but this feature helped increase my speed significantly. The hook on the Pin Slasher is amazing! It hits hard and travels fast down an oiled lane. I used to only bowl on dry lanes but I’ve found that this ball doesn’t react well to them.
It carries better than most of the balls I’ve ever used and the skid matches up well in the front which is something I appreciate. I’m thinking about buying the Pin Slasher for my wife because she likes mine so much. We both play in a league and she is always looking for ways to gain the upper hand over our competition.
The only real downfall to this ball is that when it is heavily oiled, there is a loss of control. When polished and with a lane that has dried up, the Pin Slasher can work under extreme conditions (although it is usually the best on medium oiled lanes). This ball is great for people of all ages and can be sanded down or polished to optimize its performance.
