The Ebonite Playmaker

Ebonite combines two of the best qualities of the company’s most popular bowling balls to form the entirely unique Playmaker. The core of the VII and the cover of the One make up the 4000 Grit Abralon with Powerhouse Factory Finish ball. Pearlized and with a hook potential of 39, the Playmaker is reliable and consistent. The GB 10.7 coverstock rolls well on a medium to heavy oiled lane. Bowlers have their pick of balls because the Playmaker ranges in weight from 12 to 16 pounds. Designed to jump off the backend, the ball travels down the lane smoothly and with little effort. Bowlers can drill the ball to their liking and sand it down if they feel it’s necessary. Review of the Ebonite Playmaker

The Ebonite Playmaker is an unstoppable force! I bought mine a few weeks ago and couldn’t wait to use it. I was bowling with a heavier ball and wanted to try my hand at using a lighter version. I opted for a 15 pounder and couldn’t believe the type of results I was getting. My ball is drilled with the pin over the ring finger and right away I was knocking down everything within throwing distance. I like how it takes to a medium oiled lane and glides effortlessly towards the pins. The hook on it is incredible and the Playmaker really is easy to control.

I’m thinking about sanding mine down to 2000 and see what it can do for me. When polished, the Playmaker is incredible. It turns hard and hits with tremendous force. The back end action is surprising.

The ball has excellent carry, great length and really good recovery. Even though it doesn’t read a mid-lane well, it still is an excellent ball. It is one of my favorites to bowl with. It looks incredible, feels great and has helped my average become a respectable number. I have recommended the Playmaker to all my friends and family members who like to bowl.

One of the best balls in my arsenal, the Playmaker is a keeper through and through. I haven’t had this much luck with a piece equipment for years now. I am impressed and so are the other players in my league!
