Review of the Hammer Raw hammer Psycho Bowling Ball

Cutting this ball to 2000 Abralon really improved its performance. Tending to arc a lot with its factory finish, I found this a necessary step for me. The carry is average on the Psycho but it definitely looks great. Fantastic for high revs with a lot of speed, this ball means business. I’m a right-hander and have found that although I can get great length with the Psycho, the arc is hard to get used to.

I’ve owned a lot of Hammers and find this ball to be average. I bowl on a medium oiled lane and find that it reacts well to it. It has great midlane read and stands up to the lane. Although I don’t prefer bowling on dry lanes, it holds its own.

Overall, I am satisfied with the performance of the Hammer Psycho. It is moderately priced and dependable. Although it isn’t my favorite ball, it is among my top three. I suggest that everyone give the Psycho a try. Once the ball is sanded down, it really does what it’s supposed to do. I can’t really complain about anything I have experienced while using this ball. Other than the heavy arc, this ball is great!
