Hammer Razyr Bowling Ball Review

The Hammer Razyr
The Hammer Razyr is Hammer’s newest ball at Hammer’s newest price point. The low-price point ball combines high density three piece pancake core engineering with the latest in performance veneer: the Recoil Reactive line. To date, the Recoil Reactive coverstock on the Hammer Razyr is the most aggressive coverstock put on any three piece design by any company. The Razyr is designed to move smoothly through the front o the lane and then deliver a strong punch in the form of a literally accelerated move right in front of the pins. This ball is best when used on medium-dry to dry oil lanes and is intended for extended game use since it is designed for any bowling budget.
Review Of The Hammer Razyr Bowling Ball
I would like to say I was worried about buying this ball, but I wasn’t. You can’t find a single bad thing about the Hammer Razyr anywhere, and when you factor in the literally perfect price point (it could only get better if it were free) I was nothing short of ecstatic when I finally got my hands on this bowling ball. I’ll be honest, I have what can only be labeled as “slower ball speed,” and this ball gave me great length and movement on the back end even when I was not bowling my best. I was bowling on dry lane conditions, which are recommended for the Razyr, and they were just perfect for this ball and my game. If you tend to get tired when you are bowling with other Hammer Balls, then this could also be the ball for you since it is just as responsive at low ball speeds as at high. I like to call this ball my “secret weapon” because I always take it with me when we go to league night in case the lanes are not oiled enough. A dry lane is actually a bonus for me, because with the Razyr I can actually bowl more strikes on a dry lane than some of my teammates can bowl under ideal conditions. You can also drill this ball to perfection very easily – just follow the guidelines that Hammer gives you and you will be drilling strikes as well.

I love this ball it really hits the pins. But, it breaks late and does not work well on dry lanes. It is better on medium oil lanes. At least for me it was better to use this ball early while the lanes were still a bit oily, than later after they had been played on for a while.
